Many people ask us how we came up with the concept of Sweet Rasoi. It's hard to define exactly when it originated, but here's a little bit about us.

My days used to consist of preparing for London Fashion week shows, creating bespoke custom dresses for celebrities and rubbing shoulders backstage with the likes of Kanye West and Donatella Versace. Now I utilise my creativity and development skills to work on creating eye-catching products that look almost too good to eat. 

Having gone from luxury fashion designer, turned full-time mum, to now a mithai confectioner, it may seem a strange career change. However, since becoming a mother to two boys, food and feeding my loved ones has become a key part of my life. My love for feeding the family, and desire to become creative again, organically built Sweet Rasoi. Beautiful bites of traditional South Asian flavours packaged up into exquisite gift boxes. 

My heritage contains so many beautiful traditions such as celebrating special occasions with loved ones and friends through the mithai gift box. I feel passionately about creating a product that reflects these amazing traditions and flavours of our culture, hence the origins of Sweet Rasoi. Along with the look and feel of the mithai, the taste is as much, if not an even more significant part of the brand. We work hard to have deliciously tasting mithai that marries perfect with the Belgian chocolate.

We are now a family run business which includes two small but very important taste testers and a supportive husband/courier. This is the origin of our story but we hope there is lots more to come and enjoy taking you on this journey with us.
